Climate Corps Club Special Event: Creative Expression With Downbeat 720

Our next club meeting just got even more fun! Enjoy an afternoon of creativity, climate, and pizza, as Downbeat 720 provides a taste of how they bring the magic! Specializing in spoken word and music, Downbeat wants to create a space for you to vocalize your thoughts and feelings. Our host will provide a prompt about the environment and each person will write whatever they’d like regarding the document. After everyone has finished writing we’ll take a moment to go around the room and share. Join us for this special collaborative event! The Climate Corps Club is a program of Climate Action Santa Monica, a local climate non-profit committed to local solutions by engaging the community. In the club you'll learn about and gain hands-on experience with: advocacy, climate literacy, community engagement, and environmental awareness. Opportunities range from field trips to local climate and environmental initiatives, to teaching lessons to younger students, to sharing resources at farmer's markets, to speaking before city council.
