Free Admission Friday at The Getty Villa - see INFO below. The Getty Villa Museum is a one-of-a-kind destination offering ancient Greek and Roman art, tranquil gardens, and ocean breezes. The Getty Villa is a re-creation of a Roman country house based on ancient examplesand the original home of the Getty Museum. Read the plaques throughout the site for details or take a tour. Gardens are integral to the setting of the Getty Villa, as they were in the ancient Roman home, and include herbs and shrubs inspired by those grown in ancient Roman homes for food and ceremony.
