Classic Film Screening Featuring Laurel And Hardy

Nelson Hughes Presents "That Slapstick Show" featuring Laurel & Hardy films Laurel and Hardy were a comedy duo durinig the early Classical Hollywood era of American cinema. The team was composed of Englishman Stan Laurel (1890-1965) and American Oliver Hardy (1892-1957). Nelson Hughes who is a film researcher, curator and collector, curates the evening. A panel will follow including Steve Massa of the New York Public Library of the Performing Arts and author of “Slapstick Divas”; Jack Roth, who leads the chapter in Manhattan of the Laurel and Hardy society, called "Sons of the Desert"; comedian Bob Greenberg; and Charlie Judkins, a practitioner of Ragtime, Traditional Jazz and Blues Piano.
