Zoo Mic: All Genre Open Mic January Edition!

Notsuoh has long been a home for vibrant open mics—where poetry, music, and performance art have come alive in front of a supportive community. After years away, the open mic has returned to 4th Mondays and is now hosted by Rokit of the local band Fern and Rocket. This is an open invitation to share your words, sounds, or performances. Whether you bring poetry, music, or performance art, we welcome what is passionate, heartfelt, and experimental. Together we’ll continue the legacy of Notsuoh as a space where creative energy is nurtured, community is built, and experimentation is ALIVE & KICKING! Come to perform, or come to listen and be part of the community (or come take pictures! We love our photographers!) . Sign up at 7pm! Come early if you want a spot, it fills up fast! Free entry included w/Drink Purchase to get upstairs! WE ENCOURAGE ORIGINAL CONTENT (vs. ‘karaoke’ or cover songs) Pieces may include: Poetry Pep Talks Music Dance Illusion/Magic or ritual magick Performance art Performative Lessons Dramatic Readings 21+ Free show, please purchase a drink to get upstairs. More info on how it works: Each artist receives up to 10 minutes of stage time plus 5 additional mins to set up & clear the stage. There will be two microphones available. Bring any additional gear you may need to perform! *Please be able to completely clear the stage of any mess or gear within 5 minutes. Please make sure not to go over time and take away from the other artists! You are encouraged to challenge the audience, while honoring & affirming their right to say no. DO NOT harm anyone without explicit (& sober!) consent. You are completely responsible for your actions and any mess, damage or harm your actions cause. Calculate your risks wisely and responsibly! *Jim says no fire inside Special accommodations can be made if you have a piece that does not fit into this format, please make special requests at least a week prior to the event.
