In Person: Food Fun For Everyone!

Educators enjoy learning new ways to encourage good nutrition for their students. The MyPlate food pyramid, nutritious snacks, food songs and experiments, and the Healthy Pack a Picnic game make food science fun and engaging. Children love to discover how food gets from “farm to market” by role playing how to pick a crop, transport it, wash it, price it, and stock it in a classroom grocery. With baking and mixing involved, learning about food is a huge hit! Participants receive a colorful hand-out filled with experiments and activities, templates, video links, and book suggestions.
