New Year's Poetry Sharing Circle

Join Philly Poetic Resistance on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 10:30 A.M. until Noon. Are you or someone you know a poet in the Greater Philadelphia area? If so, you'll want to join us for our upcoming in-person, New Year's Poetry-Sharing Circle! This is an in-person event that includes poetry sharing, socializing, and light refreshments! The optional theme for this poetry circle comes from our group's name. We invite you to write a poem about or inspired by "Philly" or "Poetic" or "Resistance." Let the words take you wherever you want to go. Walk-ins are welcome to this gathering. Weather information: As long as the library is open on January 24, 2026, we will be holding this event. If the library closes due to weather, we will send an email to our regular Philly Poetic Resistance email list and to anyone who signs up on Eventbrite saying we are unable to gather. Please Note: Philly Poetic Resistance events are poetry-focused and meant to foster an environment of inclusivity and mutual respect. Anyone can be asked to leave at the discretion of the organizers.
