After playing classical clarinet throughout middle and much of high school, he picked up the alto saxophone in hopes of pursuing his love for jazz music. Cutting his teeth busking on the downtown pedestrian bridge and attending local jam sessions, Ben developed a love for the improvisational and community-driven aspects of music.
