Welcome to USC MAPP: Psychology & Entertainment Symposium! Where psychology meets entertainment. From story science and predictive analytics to talent development and culture change, learn how the entertainment industry is influenced by psychology. Moderated by Dr. Jason Buhle, Dr. Mona Farid-Nejad, and Program Director, Dr. Jorge Barraza, this event will provide a unique look into how entertainment research informs key industry decisions. The event will be an all‑day, on‑campus event at USC that brings together Industry leaders and MS in Applied Psychology alumni to share how research, analytics, and psychological science shape creative development, talent, and culture—plus practical career paths into film, TV, music, gaming, and AR.
