The film chronicles Connie’s fearless journey as a trans woman living with HIV and her unwavering commitment to justice, visibility, and compassion. Through her newspaper column Tribal Writes, groundbreaking cable TV and radio shows, and tireless advocacy, Connie challenged stigma, confronted hypocrisy, and helped build bridges across LGBTQ communities at a pivotal moment in the AIDS crisis.
