Book release for the late Imani Pamoja's first published Children's Book entitled, Little Girls Growing up! Imani Pamoja was a former teacher for 20 years plus, children's advocate, poetess, humanitarian, freelance photographer, and a visionary writer. From Imani's Bio: Having worked in the Dallas community during the 70's, she was active in the Black Arts Movement, the Peace Movement, and the African Liberation Movement. Her involvement was also felt in Block Partnerships, Volunteers in Service to America, the Urban League, the Greater Dallas Community Relations Commission, and the Council of Churches. Her involvement has been challenging and widespread, and these experiences have colored and seasoned her outlook on life and greatly influenced her writings. Her dominant focus was always on the uplifting of her people and humanitarian concerns in general. She won numerous awards in the field of writing and education. Imani Pamoja has six children, fourteen grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. More Info below.
