Rocky - Vhs Movie Night At Harmonie Hall

Welcome to this month's VHS Movie Night at Harmonie Hall! Join us on Monday, November 25th, 2025 at 6pm for a screening of "Rocky". "Rocky" is a 1976 American independent sports drama film written by and starring Sylvester Stallone. In the film, Rocky Balboa, a poor small-time club fighter and loanshark debt collector from Philadelphia, gets an unlikely shot at the world heavyweight championship. "Rocky" was the highest-grossing film of 1976, and received critical acclaim for Stallone's writing, as well as the film's performances, direction, musical score, cinematography and editing. Among other accolades, it received ten Academy Award nomincations and won three, including Best Picture. It has been ranked by numerous publications as one of the greatest films of all time, as well as one of the most iconic sports films ever. It is also considered by some to be a "Thanksgiving movie" - but you can be the judge of that! Doors at 6pm; movie begins at 6:15pm. About the event: VHS Movie Night is a FREE event hosted monthly by members of the RoxYunk community, for the benefit of all nostalgic movie lovers. We're in it for the love of the medium - we enjoy all the commercials and take any potential VHS glitches in stride. We will provide some snacks and beverages.
