This support group is for members and families of the San Diego Regional Center. This month’s discussion will focus on Supported Decision-Making (SDM)—what it is, how it differs from conservatorship or guardianship, and how it can empower individuals to make their own choices with trusted support. We’ll explore who can benefit from SDM and share practical examples of how families and community members can use it to promote independence and self-determination. In addition to our discussion, we’ll have a food pantry available for families in need, offering fresh produce, canned goods, and ready-to-eat meals. As a special thank-you for attending, we’ll also hold a raffle for $25 grocery store gift cards to help families prepare for the upcoming holiday season.
