Opening Reception: Breakthrough

Join the National Public Housing Museum and partners from the Chicago Architecture Biennial to celebrate the opening of BREAKTHROUGH: Housing Futures. Organized by Alexander Eisenschmidt—a designer, writer, and Professor of architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago—this exhibition looks back at the historical Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program “Operation Breakthrough” and presents experimental housing prototypes from the Housing Futures Initiative. Enjoy drinks, light bites, and conversation about the future of affordable urban living. More Info below.
