James N. Loehlin Symposium

The University of Texas Department of English will celebrate the teaching life and academic legacy of a beloved teacher, scholar, colleague, and friend on Saturday, Nov. 15, with the James N. Loehlin Symposium. This one-day event will feature reflections and insights from colleagues and former students, as well as a video tribute focused on James’s 23 years as director of Shakespeare at Winedale. W. B. Worthen of Columbia University will deliver the mini-keynote. The event will be held from 9:30 am to 3 pm in the Julius Glickman Conference Center on the first floor of Patton Hall (RLP on campus maps). The event is free but reservation is requested through the Shakespeare at Winedale Eventbrite page. Lunch will be provided, as well as coffee and pastries in the morning. Parking will be in campus garages or street parking off-campus. Anyone needing help with dropoff or special parking arrangements can contact event coordinator Clayton Stromberger at [hidden].
