Filmmakers Breakfast: Let's Break Bread & Discuss The Industry!

Queens World hosts the Filmmakers Breakfast, a peer-to-peer gathering built for authentic conversation and community. Attending filmmakers will sit alongside industry professionals including Anita Raswant (Lead Programmer, Nantucket & DOCNYC), Katrina Medoff (Co-Executive Director & Co-Founder, Moonshot Initiative), and Brian F. Lee (City National Bank), who will help spark the first question of the morning. Over coffee and a complimentary breakfast at Sac’s Place, located in the restored former commissary of Kaufman Astoria Studios, where actors from the silent and early talking film era dined between takes, we’ll dive into the challenges and opportunities facing independent film: balancing art and commerce, navigating production hurdles, building outreach and collaborative networks, experimenting with distribution, and imagining what comes next for our field. Queens World Film Festival is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and through Discretionary Funding from Council Member Shekar Krishnan and DYCD. Selected marketing is sponsored by New York Tourism Foundation and The Listening Tour is partially sponsored by Resorts World Giving. More Info below.
