[hidden] Food Pantry Setup with Onward Neighborhood House Come join us for a hands-on volunteering experience at our Food Pantry Setup event! We'll be organizing and stocking shelves to help those in need. The event will take place at 5413 W Diversey Ave, so mark your calendars and bring your friends along. Let's make a difference together! What to Expect: Volunteer tasks will involve product inventory, stocking shelves with food, and unloading the food truck. Volunteers should be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Volunteers are encouraged to wear clothes they can easily move around in and should expect to be standing and walking during the hours they are volunteering. Wearing comfortable shoes is strongly recommended. There is street parking alongside Diversey, but volunteers are encouraged to pay close attention to street signs for permit/ tow zone/ loading parking. By participating in this project, volunteers will contribute to the capacity of our community partner to serve. This is a referral opportunity through Chicago Cares. Chicago Cares does not manage the volunteer experience for these projects and volunteers are subject to each partner organization volunteer protocol. Chicago Cares is not liable for injuries, loss, or damage at referral projects. No Chicago Cares staff will follow up with you about the logistics for this program.
