Celebrate With Artist Jackie Sumell

Join the artist jackie sumell to learn more about the site-specific intervention Endangered Feces, commissioned for the Moody's Platform series in partnership with Rice's Department of Art. Aimed at supporting natural ecosystems and drawing attention to threatened wildlife, the collaborative and durational project produces sculptures made of compostable material and embedded with seeds. Over time, the forms integrate into the landscape, contributing to a habitat that fosters flora and fauna native to Houston. This event will begin at the Moody with an artist presentation where guests will be able to make "seed bombs" and enjoy light refreshments before proceeding to the Harris Gully to see the latest stage of sumell's intervention.
