Umass Boston Bioblitz

TEDxBoston and iNaturalist are teaming up with organizations throughout Boston to celebrate biodiversity this fall, kicking things off with a celebratory bioblitz at UMass Boston hosted by the UMass Boston School for the Environment. Join us for a fun-filled morning of nature exploration! This in-person event will take place at UMass Boston, where you'll have the opportunity to discover and document various species of plants and animals using the iNaturalist app. Whether you're a seasoned naturalist or just curious about the world around you, this event is for you. We'll be gathering in the UMass Boston Quad at 9:00 AM for some inspirational speakers and orientation to the event. From there, we'll head out to different areas of campus with the goal of finding and documenting all the species we can! All the observations you make will automatically end up in our UMass Boston Bioblitz project on iNaturalist. We'll reconvene at 11:30 AM to share what we found and celebrate our results. After the bioblitz is done, keep sharing your nature observations in the greater Boston area by joining the TEDxBoston: Planet Action for Biodiversity project!
