Tom Robinson | Exhibition Opening | Messums New York

This marks the end of Messums ORG’s first showcasing in New York. Robinson’s movements on the canvas and board have no pre-conceptions. His work is a series of impulses, a gathering of momentum, aiming to add, “to the logic of what is already there”. These canvases hang like colourful reliefs and are, in Robinson’s words, “untethered” & “autonomous”: If his work becomes unfamiliar, it does its job. Robinson aims to close the gap between what occurs before the mark, during and after. To become lost in the noise of colour, and surrender thought to the surface is to arrive at the source of these works. More Info below.
