Black Music City: Summer Celebration

Black Music City June Celebration Event Hosted by: Seraiah Nicole Presented by: WXPN, WRTI, and REC Philly Sponsored by: William Penn Foundation Now in its fifth year, Black Music City continues to celebrate Philadelphia’s legacy of Black music and culture by investing in the future of its creatives. In 2025, the program awarded over $130,000 in grants to 30 visionary Black artists across a range of disciplines—from music and film to visual art, dance, and performance.
