About Frank Russell: Acclaimed Chicago Jazz bass guitarist Frank Russell is the official bassist for the legendary South African a cappella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Frank won the prestigious 2020 Jeff Award with them as the musical director for the play Lindiwe. Frank has also recorded or performed live with legendary jazz artists ranging from Freddie Hubbard, Ramsey Lewis, Wallace Rooney, Michael Wolf, Mike Clark, The Headhunters and more.
