She Deck Art Exhibition

Welcome to the She Deck Art Exhibition! Curated by local muralista Kyllan Maney and local-to-Tempe skater celebrity 'Calamity Jean' Rusen, this show portrays the fem/femme/feminine, using such untraditional canvases as the bottom of a skateboard or a pair of roller skates. 🎨 Amazing fem-forward art from artists of all ages and backgrounds.🛹 Skateboarding demos lead by the amazing Jean Rusen @calamity_jean in the Danelle Parking lot - ramps have been loaned from Sidewalk Surfer @sidewalksurferaz!🍸 Fun Drinks at Yucca Tap Room for adults, mock-tails at the Rocket Space Gallery.🎞️ Interactive Art Activities - Decorate a fingerboard, bleach stencil t-shirts, and Skate in the Shade photo ID booth.🎧 DJ🍭 Fun treats🖌️ Live painting This event is free to attend. The large parking lot is free to park. Rocket Space Gallery is just off US60, at Southern Ave & Mill Avenue in Tempe's hidden gem, Danelle Plaza. The gallery is tucked into a boring-on-the-streetside plaza but once you make your way in, you'll find an old building covered in colorful murals and art installations. There's also Yucca Tap Room, a heritage site for the local live music scene, and Electric Bat Arcade, which features a wide selection of pinball machines. Don't miss out on this exciting event!
