This May, we are thrilled to celebrate three incredible poets who inspire us: Emily Bludworth de Barrios, Cloud Delfina Cardona, & Dara Barrois/Dixon Presented by Host Publications, I Scream Social is a monthly feminist reading series and ice cream party that takes place at Alienated Majesty Books. We aim to celebrate and empower historically marginalized writers and share incredible literature and diverse perspectives to an Austin-area audience. Poems have recently appeared in The Poetry Review, Harvard Review and Electric Literature. Cloud Delfina Cardona (she/they) | @mexistentialism on IG  | loves strawberry ice cream Cloud Delfina Cardona (she/they) is an artist, writer, and book cover designer from San Antonio, Texas. She is the author of What Remains, winner of the 2020 Host Publications Chapbook Prize, and the past is a jean jacket, winner of the Hub City Press BIPOC Poetry Series. She is the co-founder of Infrarrealista Review, a literary nonprofit that publishes Texan voices. Cardona is the 2024-2025 Letras Latinas Poetry Coalition Fellow and currently works as the Marketing Coordinator at Gemini Ink. She moonlights as DJ Mexistentialism. ***********************Open mic ************************ Open mic details: sign ups for the open mic begin at 6:45pm. The open mic is reserved for writers from historically marginalized communities.
