Dari - World Premieres By 6 Korean Composers

Dari - World premieries by 6 Korean composers Violinist Salley Koo, joined by Dawn Dongeun Wohn, Daniel McDonough, and Alexander Solomon, will premiere 6 compositions she commissioned by Kyong Mee Choi, Texu Kim, Juri Seo, Hee Yun Kim, Leo Chang, and Matthew Pellegrino in this exciting program ranging from violin solo to duo to piano trios! This project, Dari, aims to build and strengthen bridges between performers, students, and pedagogues, contemporary Korean compositions to the Western classical canon, and more, and is funded by the University of Illinois Research Board. This concert is wonderful for audiences of all ages interested in Korean culture, widening access and representation, and new music. Admission is free, but seats are limited! More Info below.
