You are invited to join West Chelsea Contemporary for an exclusive conversation with featured artist Charlotte Rose during the opening reception of Something Wicked This Way Comes on Saturday, October 5th from 2-4pm. __________________________________________________________________________ West Chelsea Contemporary is proud to present Something Wicked This Way Comes, a delightfully mischievous duo exhibition featuring Charlotte Rose & The Connor Brothers. Coming off two sold out shows in London, Charlotte Rose is one of the UK’s most exciting emerging artists. Her vibrant collection of work explores the complexities of cultural consumption and nostalgic branding, revealing themes of mortality, fate, and desire through a lens of disillusionment. Previous shows have brought her work to the attention of collectors such as Yungblud, PhoebeWaller Bridge, and Schoony as well as collaborations with renowned brands such as Coach, Jo Malone, and Gucci. Renowned for their incisive blend of pop art aesthetics and subversive cultural commentary, The Connor Brothers, a pseudonym for British artists James Golding and Mike Snelle, are one of the most influential art duos of the last decade. The duo have sold out shows at galleries in LA, New York, Sydney, Dubai, London, Hong Kong and Berlin, were featured in Banksy’s Dismaland, and have continued collaboration with the mental health nonprofit CALM. Their works have graced major international venues and prestigious collections, including The Victoria and Albert Museum and the Penguin Collection. Marking their debut exhibition in Austin, Something Wicked This Way Comes presents a brilliantly cheeky dialogue on contemporary popular culture through the distinct lenses of these dynamic artists.
