Join us on Fri Oct 04 2024 at 6:00 for a night of powerful storytelling and cinematic art set in a brand new gallery in the heart of Washington Square West. Located at 1034 Pine St, our event will showcase a short and thought-provoking film about local Philadelphia musician Will Ellsworth that will leave you inspired and moved. Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of art and music and support local artists of all kinds. See you there! Film screening at 7:30pm followed by Q&A with Will Ellsworth. Bring your friends and enjoy popcorn and other light refreshments while you soak in the vibe of this unique and special setting! The People's Gallery Project is an Occupational Therapy initiative to provide marginalized artists with unique entrepreneurship opportunities. We believe that art is conducive to healing and that all individuals should have the opportunity to work and sustain themselves through fulfilling entrepreneurial ventures. We are holding a series of unique community events and showcases which combine visual and performance arts in collaboration with a range of local artists and creatives. Our purpose in hosting these events is to foster community-centered healing by creating safe spaces for all individuals to come together for a shared experience. All artwork is for sale and 100% of the profits of anything sold goes directly to the artists in an effort to minimize the barriers that artists face in reaching professional and financial independence.
