Join us for the next installment of our Land & Wellness Summer Series, Club Oyster at Pentridge Children's Garden. In this workshop, we'll be diving into the world of oysters. We'll explore: the ecology of oysters; the magical way that oysters exist in this world (they exist collectively, they heal their surrounding environments); oysters and Black foodways; and the Black shucking communities that held together the oyster industry in Port Norris, NJ, which used to be the oyster capital of the world. Hands-on activities include oyster shell painting (family friendly) and shucking demos (and maybe saving the shells for PCG’s greenhouse?!). We can't wait to see you there! More Info below.
