East Village Opening Weekend Block Party

The East Village San Diego Padres Block Party, orginally set for Opening Weekend, has been rescheduled for July 13. It will take place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m, on J Street between Bub’s at the Beach and Basic Pizza (that’s 7th & 10th Aveneues) in front of Petco Park. The game opponent that day is the Atlanta Braves with first pich at 4:15 p.m. The free-open-to-the-public event is an all-out Padres celebration. It has beer and spirits booths (pro’s tip: pick one away from one of the entrance gates because they often have a minimal line, if one at all), food vendors, games and live music from both DJs and bands. It’s time to play ball! Grab your family and friends and join the East Village Association for this year’s 12th Annual East Village Block Party on Opening Weekend. Taking place on J St from 7th to 10th Avenue in front of Petco Park, this event brings all that there is in East Village to the Block Party including local small businesses, live music and entertainment, tasty bites, beer and cocktails, local retail vendors, photo opportunities, a variety of fun family-friendly activities, and of course a celebration of East Village’s very own San Diego Padres.All ages are welcome to this free event, making it the ideal way to celebrate both the community and our beloved team.
