Wine industry professionals are invited to this Rioja producer-led tasting. Bodegas Bagordi is a family-owned 40 hectare estate in Andosilla, Navarra which is one of the few navarran villages included in the Rioja DOC (sub-region, rioja oreitnal). Luis Manuel is the 14th generation (!) of the Carcar family to produce wine on the estate. Yes, you read that right; Bagordi has been around since 1773 and the Carcar last name happens to be shared with the neighboring village. Luis Manuel was one of the earliest adopters of organic agriculture in Rioja and was the first to bring a certified organic gran reserva to market. Stylistically, he focuses on making traditional tempranillo-based bottlings with impressive bottle-age. We'll be showing the following wines: 2023 garnacha-based rose 2023 garnacha blanca/sauvignon blanc joven white 2022 garnacha blanca/suavignon barrel-fermented white 2022 Tinto Joven 2019 Crianza 2013 Reserva 2008 Gran Reserva 2015 100% Graciano 2022 preview of that year's gran reserva, unoaked.
