Log Inoculation Party

Join us for a log inoculation party and Community Mushroom Educator (CME) reunion at the Randall's Island Urban Farm with past and prospective CMEs. We will be inoculating local tree species with shiitake and oyster spawn as part of a larger research project with the Randall's Island Park Alliance Urban Farm and Cornell Cooperative Extension. After we finish inoculating the logs, we will end the day with a potluck. You are welcome to bring a mushroom dish to share! Just to clarify, the logs will be assigned to community gardens throughout the city and will be pre-drilled. We are inviting participants to join in on the inoculation part of the process and will be distributing free wine cap spawn. More Info below.
