Feature Friday: Greater Chicago Food Depository

Join the UCSC this Spring Quarter for our Feature Fridays conversations on Chicago’s environmental sustainability landscape, with a special emphasis on food access and justice. Each week, we’ll feature community leaders from our network of partners who will help us understand the past, present, and future of food access and food deserts in Chicago, learn how community-led efforts in urban agriculture, conservation, and food education are addressing these challenges, and share the ways you can get involved and take action. This week, we’re excited to welcome the Greater Chicago Food Depository, discussing efforts in creating avenues and access to healthy food for all. You can learn more about their work, on their website. A light lunch will be provided, and your RSVP helps us plan. AGENDA: 12:00p.m.: Arrival & Lunch 12:30p.m.: Panel Begins 1:30-2p.m.: Q&A About Feature Fridays: The University Community Service Center (UCSC) is pleased to present Feature Fridays, a series of conversations between community partners and students about Chicago, civic engagement, and social change.
