September Book Swap

Do you like words of all shapes and sizes? Do you like to talk about your favorite book like an overly enthuastic sports fan? Do you like meeting cool and smart gay people? Then come on over to bang bang pie and biscuits to do our monthly book swap! Activities: We will be swapping books that we are willing to part with and play a writing game where we write poems based off of local news headlines Covid-19 Safety: Masks are encouraged to be worn when not eating and being fully Covid vaccinated is a requirement for attendance Schedule for event 4pm-5pm- intros/what we have read recently/general book discussion 5pm-5:30-book swap 5:30-6pm-writing games Rules for book swap 1. Wrap the book before the event so the cover is not visible. 2. Write somewhere on the wrapping 3 words that describe the book and be willing to do a quick elavator pitch for the book during the swap. 3. If you would like to swap more than one book please make sure that is wrapped and labeled as well. Please note that this is a queer community focused event, while allies are welcome the safety of the LGBT attendees will take priority. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated at this event and any reports of such can/will result in violators being banned from future events. More Info below.
