The Siskel Film Center has put together a remarkable lecture series called Digging Deeper hosted by Northwestern professor Nick Davis that culminates its spring session with an examination of transgender cinema. As the event description puts it, "Trans filmmaking has spread across even more genres, from rom-com to sci-fi. Trans performers have exerted stronger creative influence on movies they headline....
