Hadiya's Promise Presents: The 10th Annual Party4peace

The Hadiya's Promise Foundation will host its 10th Annual Party 4 Peace on June 3, 2023 from 11 AM - 5 PM at Hadiya Pendleton Park, 4345 S. Calumet. There will be food, music, bounce houses, and lots of fun. We encourage members of the community, local houses of worship, and all who want to see change in our communities, to join us as we raise Gun Violence Awareness. 10 years ago, on January 29, 2013, 15 year-old Hadiya Pendleton was murdered while in the park with classmates after completing her final exams. The outcry surrounding her death caused a national conversation from City Hall to the White House. After a year of grief and reflection, Hadiya's family wanted to do more and founded Hadiya’s Promise to become advocates for peace and change. Hadiya’s Promise and Hadiya’s Foundation (501c3) have developed a plan for a natural progression of our work: bringing the story of Hadiya’s Promise to inspire young people to put down the guns, continuing to travel to stand with others on behalf of peace, and lending our support to causes that are aligned with our mission.
