Get ready to step back in time and experience the legendary music of Max's Kansas City in New York with Pretty Pony, a pop-up cocktail event from Aaron Perrino of The Sheila Divine and Alan Wong of the underground cocktail club “Mr. Drinky”. Every Friday, the side room of The Haven in Jamaica Plain is transformed into a one-of-a-kind cocktail bar experience, showcasing the best of the past and present in music and mixology.Inspired by the iconic venue that was the birthplace of the punk and art rock scenes in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Pretty Pony offers a nostalgic and immersive journey through the sights and sounds of the era. The drink menu and concept is loosely based on the location of a musical moment in time, with each season showcasing a different period and style.The first season of Pretty Pony is inspired by Max's Kansas City in New York, where legends such as The Velvet Underground, Andy Warhol, and David Bowie gathered to create, perform, and party.
