Verse Nft Gallery: A Chicago Nft Community Field Trip

For those who attended our last field trip, we hope you enjoyed our time at the Art Institute to enjoy Bridget Riley and David Hockney's works as well as the great conversations at our lunch! Our next field trip together will be to see VERSE - NFTs in Augmented Reality! Join your hosts - Carlos & Ann Marie - and support your fellow NFT artists! The VERSE exhibit / gallery is coming to a close, which means it is currently being heavily promoted, which means tickets will go FAST. So if you really want to join us, you should purchase your tickets NOW. Do not wait! Do not pass go! Purchase ticket(s) for the 11:00am time slot on Saturday, February 4th! TICKETS: [hidden] GETTING THERE The VERSE NFT gallery is at NAVY PIER, ENTRANCE 2, LEVEL 2 (It's located near the BACK END of Navy Pier! See the yellow box in the MAP below.) If you're coming by bus, arrive at the Navy Pier stop NO LATER than 10:30am. It will take 20 to 25 minutes to walk all the way to the exhibit (which is closer to the back end of Navy Pier, and on LEVEL 2). If you are taking an Uber or Lyft, instruct your driver to drop you off at ENTRANCE 2 (which is at the further end of the building down Grand), and then walk up to LEVEL 2. SCHEDULE 10:50AM - Arrive at the gallery 11:00AM - We are in the first time slot of the day, so hopefully the wait to go in will be minimal. (The site says to expect a 60 to 90 min wait time, but I'm guessing that's if you have a later time slot.). Either way, we'll have an hour and a half of exploration time from the time our main group is admitted. 12:30PM (or 1.5 hrs from admission) - LUNCH! I start to gather everyone from the gallery to walk together to the food hall . WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE GALLERY 1) When you get there, you'll have the choice to download an augmented reality app to your phone or tablet to view the exhibit. [It might be the Enklu app which is what they instructed us to use at VERSE in San Francisco (SF).] 2) You will also be able to explore the exhibit using the HoloLens 2 headset *Note that if you want to record any of the augmented reality, it is much easier to do that by recording the app while active on your phone or tablet. 3) Based on my prior experience at the SF location, you will have a half hour limit with the HoloLens 2 headset (not enough for the whole exhibit), but you should have ample time to walk around with the app on your phone or tablet.
