2023 Reparations United Mayoral Candidate Forum

Reparations United Mayoral Candidate Forum hosted by Reparations United, the Conrad Worrill Community Reparations Commission and Malcolm X College - Student Government COME JOIN US at Malcolm X College Auditorium, 1900 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60612 on February 2, 2023, at 2:00 pm as the Conrad Worrill Community Reparations Commission, Reparations United and MXC Student Government co-host a forum centered around Descendants of enslaved Africans topics and Reparations for the City of Chicago Mayoral Candidates. The purpose of this community meeting is to allow the candidates equal opportunity to answer questions pertaining to current policies, as well as to showcase their knowledge and commitment to fostering the continual movement towards reparations for descendants of enslaved African. This forum will help kick off the 1st day of Black history month at Malcolm X College. Special Invited Guest: Rev. Jesse Jackson, Ald. Robin Rue Simmons, State Senator Emil Jones (Former President), and more. Questions for the candidates are encouraged. Community Members, Leaders and Students are encouraged to submit questions surrounding their interest, concerns. The staff of the organizers will select the best questions and then ask the candidates for their response during the forum. Please submit questions via email by 5:00pm CST on January 27, 2023 : [hidden] Special Thank You to the residents in the state of Illinois, Mayoral Candidates, Students and Staff at Malcolm X College, and more. Refreshments will be provided. Doors will open promptly at 1:30 pm. You should be in your seat no later than 1:45 pm. We will begin programming promptly at 2:00 pm CST. The forum is anticipated to last no later than 1 h 30 m. Seating is provided on a first come first served basis. Guest will not be permitted to attend the screening without a registered ticket. Please keep your tickets in a safe place. Social Distancing and State Mandated Pandemic/COVID 19 related Laws will be strongly enforced. Everyone must wear a mask to attend. Proof of Vaccination must be presented. Donations to the Conrad Worrill Community Reparations Commission help fuel reparations initiatives for the community not only in Chicago but throughout Illinois.
