Yoga @Fisher With Shreya Ranganathan

Join Shreya for a relaxing Hatha Yoga practice and the celebration of ancient tradition surrounded by meaningful artwork at USC Fisher Art Museum. We will explore all aspects of yoga – from gratitude exercises, pranayama (breath work), asana (exercises), to traditional meditation to relieve stress and cultivate inner peace. Come as you are, no experience needed. Yoga mats will be provided. Space is limited Hosted by USC Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL). ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Shreya Ranganathan is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and senior Journalism student at USC Annenberg. Ranganathan fell in love with Hatha practices when she traveled to India for the first time, and they helped her find light in darker situations. Shreya’s philosophy is that yoga should be a practice for everyone, regardless of race, class, and other barriers that have historically prevented BIPOC communities from participating. Ranganathan believes yoga storytelling with the heart, the head, the mind, the spirit and the breath. Through a holistic and authentic approach, true to ancient scriptures such as Patanjali Yoga Sutras and The Bhagavad-Gita, she hopes to change the stigma surrounding yoga and assist her peers on their journeys of healing.
