Artist-In-Residence Open Studio Event

Visit Gallery 263 on Sunday, August 14, 1–3 PM, for a free open studio event to see what artist Mike Howat is creating this summer as part of his residency. The artist is currently working on large-scale paintings and cardboard sculptures inspired by apartment buildings and other architecture in the area surrounding the gallery.Attendees are encouraged to engage and ask questions about the art, most of which is in progress. The work includes large-scale paintings in acrylic, studies on paper, and cardboard sculptures that document and explore the architecture and collective memories of the area.The event will also include a painting demo in acrylic and mixed media drawing materials.This event is free and open to all.RSVP>> More Info below.
