Old Pasadena hosts the 80s Dance Party on the Alley on Wednesday, August 28. Don your shoulder pads, leg warmers, scrunchies, big earrings, parachute pants, and neon outfits for a totally tubular evening in Old Pasadena! DJ Glenn Red will be on hand spinning rad tunes that feature the very best of 1980s music genres, including new wave, post-punk, new romantics, ska, techno, dance-pop, and early hip-hop and rap. Expect a gnarly night on the alley where eventgoers can play arcade games hosted by Neon Retro Arcade, snap pics with 80s props, and enjoy free Paradis Ice Cream while supplies last.Finally, throughout the event, visitors can visit the all-new, just re-opened Dog Haus Biergarten and take advantage of its extended Happy Hour between 6:00-8:30pm.The free, outdoor party takes place on the south end of Big Bang Theory Way - 93 E. Green Street in front of Dog Haus Biergarten. Please note: Admission to the 80s Dance Party is free, but alley capacity is limited. Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 5:45pm at 93 E. Green Street. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? There is no minimum age requirement to attend but the event is designed fpr adults. What are my parking options for getting to and from the event? Along with numerous private lots throughout Old Pasadena, guests are encouraged to try the three PARK & WALK GARAGES, which offer the first 90 minutes FREE: De Lacey Parking Facility, 45 S. De Lacey Avenue (1/2 block south of Colorado and De Lacey) Marriott Parking Facility, 171 N. Raymond Avenue (between Holly and Walnut) Schoolhouse Parking Facility, 33 E. Green Street (corner of Green and Raymond) Hours of Operation Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Parking Rates Daily 5:00am to 10:00pm: First 90 minutes FREE; $2/hr hour thereafter; $8 daily maximum Nightly 10:00pm to 5:00am: $5 flat rate Are there Metro stations nearby? Yes, the Metro Gold Line stops at two stations in Old Pasadena, both of which are within short walking distance of the event: Del Mar Station and Memorial Park Station. However, please note that capacity within the alley is limited and will be monitored. Guests must have a wrist-band. Event organizers will begin handing out wrist-bands at 5:45pm at 93 E.
