Caribbean Connections presents Epic Words: An Open Mic Poetry Event Featured Guest: TRAVELLING ROOTS FRIDAY, APRIL 26, 2019, at 2 PM PROGRAM ROOM | DOORS OPEN AT 1:30 PM EPIC WORDS is an open mic poetry event held at Mid-Manhattan Library. Come celebrate National Poetry Month with us by sharing your best, written poetry works during our 1st open mic session! Participants must sign up with library staff at least 30 mins before performing. Please bring a short bio with you for introductions. Maximum time allotted is 10 minutes per poem. Participants can read up to 3 poems. TRAVELLING ROOTS is a middle school English teacher in Washington D.C. She has been writing poetry for over ten years and attends writing workshops in the DMV area. Her first collection of poems, Tributes & Metaphors was published in 2017.
