In honor of BLACK HISTORY month Compassionate Arts at the Pico Youth and Family is excited to announce the release of social justice performing artist Johna Rivers new single "Make It Out",and the launch of her website. Johna Rivers is a 25 year-old, former LA County foster youth who co-founded Real To Reel Global Global Youth Film Festival and continues to advocate for foster youth throughout her daily life. Johna Rivers grew up in Watts, CA in the Jordan Downs Housing Projects.By age 15, Johna started sharing her story to empower her peers. Johna has performed on stage at The United States of Women Conference in Los Angeles, Malibu Soho House, The House of Blues, Voice’s of The Unheard with Debrah Wilson and many more reknown spaces around the city of Los Angeles. We will also feature performances by: Enny Owl ROZO Cali Brule Flora This is a free event open to the public.
