Join Seeds in the Middle to have fun and do good for the 2019 Martin Luther King Day of Service! Eat. Drink. Dance. Play ball. Cook fresh. Run a fresh market. Join a flea market. Join the Health Fair. Teach a fitness class. Sell. Share healthy tips. Do art. Perform. Tutor. Fun for all ages - seeking volunteers and those who will just come to do good for a day. Everyone has something to offer so join us! Seeds in the Middle is at two schools in Brooklyn on Monday, Jan. 21. PS 284 at 213 Osburn Street in Brownsville (10a - 2p) and PS 770 at 60 east 94th Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn (11a - 3p) We welcome everyone to do good for a day helping students in high-need neighborhoods eat and cook healthy, play ball, take part in a talent show, get free health info, and more. We're even having a pop-up market, featuring crafts and artisans from all over to show off the talented entrepreneurs of Brooklyn and beyond. You can also buy a lunch for $20 at the market run by kids. (Yes, your kids can help run the market and any youth can join in - great community service credits!) Our lunch or brunch is the best deal in the city: fresh smoothie or fresh orange juice, fresh soup, bread and salads and treats made by everyone... plus you get free produce to take home! We'll be offering sumptuous food and drink - all to support Seeds in the Middle's programs to empower kids in high-need neighborhoods to create Hip2B Healthy Markets and play soccer and grow edible gardens and just create a healthier place to live and learn! Check out the event on Facebook here. FAQs Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No, we will have your name, but if you prefer to do that, that would be great! FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? no What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? You can reach PS 284 by subway, either the 3 train to Rockaway Avenue (then 7 minute walk to the school0 or A train at Sutter Avenue (9 minute walk to the school). See map of location here PS 770 is at 60 east 94th Street in Brooklyn. Take the 3 or 4 train to Utica Avenue. Then, it's about a 10 minute walk. See map here What can I bring into the event? You can bring fresh produce to donate or any supplies you want to bring for art, or other activities. You can also donate gently used books and clothes. No. Can I update my registration information? Yes. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes.
