West Diamonds and Antonio Severino presents a Spotlight on Art Nouveau reimagined with Pink Diamonds. In this guided tour, Vice President Scott West will share an exclusive inside look at an upcoming design from the Scott West jewelry collection called The Art Nouveau Pink Collection where we reimagine an international style of art from the 1900’s with Argyle pink diamonds.Antonio Severino master jeweler will guide our guests at how a Scott West jewelry item is created with a presentation of a final design masterpiece. The tour will discuss the background of Art Nouveau and the rarity of Argyle pink diamonds from jewelers studio.Art Nouveau - is an international style of art, architecture and applied art, especially the decorative arts that was most popular between 1890 and 1910. Inspired by natural forms and structures, particularly the curved lines of plants and flowers. Art Nouveau is characterized by its use of a long, sinuous and organic line.Argyle Pink - Of the 20 million carats of rough diamonds that are produced annually at the Rio Tinto owned mine in Western Australia, less than 0.1% is pink. Argyle pink diamonds are rare; in fact they are beyond rare. With just an estimated half a decade of supply remaining in the mine, as time passes the Argyle pink diamond becomes evermore precious.
The Argyle mine supplies approximately 90% of the world's pink diamonds, astonishingly, a whole year's worth of production of stones over half a carat would fit in the palm of your hand. The larger rare violet diamonds would barely fill a teaspoon. Hence, they are highly sought after by investors, collectors, jewelers and their customers, and celebrities. Prized by all who possess them; revered for their unique provenance, intrinsic beauty and extreme rarity.Join NYCJW on Wednesday November 14th at 3:30pm for an exciting presentation about some of the rarest diamonds in the world inside the studio of one of NYC's most prestigious master jewelers.
