Queens Botanical Garden Free Admission Thursdays (Winter Hours)

Free Admission Thursday at Queens Botanical Garden - see INFO below. Applications for internships with our Wedding, Bee, and Herb Gardens will be accepted starting in March, and for our Summer Container Irrigation internship in mid-June. PUBLIC PROGRAMS FESTIVALS We welcome individuals and small groups to help us set up, clean up, and run day of Public Programs and Festivals throughout the year. If you are interested in helping out at a program or festival, please email [hidden]. Volunteer placement may be limited based on event and not guaranteed, but we will always confirm prior to the event dates. Pumpkin Patch Event Days Multiple Dates Saturday, October 6 through Sunday, October 28, 10am to 2pm and 2pm to 6pm The QBG Pumpkin Patch will welcome thousands of people from Queens and beyond to have the quintessential fall experience every weekend in October and on Columbus Day. On each event day, we need volunteers to help at two sessions: 10am to 2pm and 2pm to 6pm to help run this fall-lovers delight. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting up and replenishing pumpkins, crowd control, litter pick-up, and resetting for the next day. CLICK HERE to sign up! Pumpkin Patch Break-Down Thursday, November 1 and Friday, November 2, 10am to 2pm On November 1 and 2 from 10am to 2pm, we need volunteers to help break down QBGs Pumpkin Patch, where thousands of people from Queens and beyond got the quintessential fall experience throughout October. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, breaking down fencing and dcor, collecting remaining pumpkins, and removing hay bales. CLICK HERE to sign up! Harvest Fest Prep Saturday, October 13, 1 to 4pm To prepare for Harvest Fest, a fun-filled day for the whole family, we need volunteers to help set up a day before the event day. On Saturday, October 13, from 1 to 5pm, volunteer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting up tables, chairs, cordoning off and staging activity areas, and putting up signs.
